Lauren McQuade Handmade is a small batch ceramics business that was born of a desire to enjoy slow living in Bellbrae on the Surf Coast of Victoria, Australia - a desire to create something unique in my physical pieces and in my everyday life.

A Professional Photographer by trade I have always been creative however the change of pace with clay was something I was instantly drawn to.

From the moment I sat at the wheel, I fell in love with the craft. It offered a change of pace from my busy lifestyle - a meditation. I thought, “Making this my career would be a dream come true.”

We are inspired by the organic textural elements found in nature. In awe of the beauty that can be found in even the most unassuming objects, we are driven by our desire to reuse, recycle or return organically to nature.

Where we can, we source recycled paper stocks and engage sustainably-minded suppliers. It is our intention to maintain a local production chain with all products 100% designed and printed in Australia.

Kierra is an Australian artist who loves drawing, painting, and designing with intricate and delicate details. I create artworks that flow easily and intuitively, and have been using gold with soft and vibrant colours in my paintings for many years. Living many years in India has influenced the artworks that I create, and I'm happy to finally share some artworks in the form of journals that can be used, enjoyed and kept.

About Jas - My name is Jas (Jasmin Kechel) and I love making candles. I ran a candle business for about 8 years, but it got too big, so I sold it. Then I moved to the forest (Currumbin Valley) and now I make in small batches, slowly for joy.

I am passionate about the mindfulness aspect of slow making, and also love teaching others how to make candles. I also teach monthly candle-making classes.

My products are all made with intention, I use only the highest quality products, beeswax, essential oils and love making intuitive pieces for you.

I am also Reiki Master Teacher, Sound Healer + Organic Facialist.
